(above) The intricately detailed leaves and petals in Flora, by Phoebe Cummings, is carved out of unfired clay (2010).
(below) Jim Dingilian fills glass bottles with smoke, then uses skewers and needles to wipe away select bits of ash, leaving intricate images of natural and urban landscapes. This one’s called Lowland (2010).
